I hate the current limitations of phones and the internet as communication devices. Human communication encompasses so much more than spelling and syntax. Vocal inflection, eye contact, and body language are all necessary parts whose absence from modern communication makes this world that much more confusing and isolating. A slight change of tone, an accented syllable, an odd glance, or a hand gesture can turn an insult into a compliment and make or break a joke. I tend to have a lot of trouble communicating anything more than the everday bullshit unless I can do it in person. There is SO much I need to say to people, but simply can't express it decently.
