What is your biggest accomplishment in life? (blog homework)

This is me on the day that I emigrated. I didnt have a job or a place to live set up. All I had was as much as I could carry (23kgs on an economy flight!) a wee bit of savings and a plane ticket.

I moved basically as far from home as I could go, all the way from Scotland to Australia and in some ways I still have no clue how I did it. I guess I made it happen soo quickly that I didn't have time to get frightened!

Since I arrived in Austrtalia I've managed to make my own way in a way I never thought possiible. I've got an awesome job and managed to make friends with so many people (which is amazing to me as I used to be really really shy).

Emigrating is not exactly a picnic especially when things go wrong. Last year I split up with my long term partner. I was gutted, all I wanted to do was go home to my mum and crawl into bed for a month. When my sisters graduated and bought a flat this year I wanted to be there and help them and celebrate with them, when they have problems I want to hold their hands and of course I can't! But forcing myself out of a safe family environment has made me so much stronger. I has allowed me to pick my new friends and pseudo-family who I love dearly. (Including a bunch of you here and a particular thanks to @thefuckoffkid whos house I crawled into for a week back in December as well as @countessa & @exkyu for making me beautiful and inviting me to things even when I'm being reclusive!)

I would recommend living overseas (if not permanently emigrating) to basically everyone. Going overseas and making myself into the person I want to be is my biggest, proudest accomplishment (so far). Well, this has gotten a bit 'eat, pray, love' so I'll leave it at that. Thanks Australia!

I did a huge move 5 years ago from England to antigua, in the caribbean.  It's one of the hardest things to go though. I have to completely agree with you though, this place made me discover myself ♡

I emigrated to Australia from England, many years ago...it was a difficult step....one which I have never regretted.
