something really great happened to me today so i feel the need to share as lately my blog has been a bit of a whinge-a-thon. Basically we had a project last semester which was a commercial brief with a chance of being published and mine has been chosen to be published (Yay!). I have pretty mixed feelings about the image actually, part of it is a saxamaphone and i had super lighting issues with it as it was my first shot at photographing and lighting shiny things. however, the idea rock so. i guess thats the main thing. ok, so, to an extent im pleased about this, very but on the other hand, there are a lot of young graduate photographers who could have used the work and you would just have had to pay them a decent wage (to mention the exact amount i am getting for the image seems crass but suffice to say not a whole lot.) I dislike this idea that people have that they can scaff cheap creative work off of students because we are often a bit desperate for it. however. having benefited from it i wont complain too much.
