I just went crazy and bought myself a little christmas present from Columbia House. I wanted to fulfill my membership and get the hell out of the club and worrying about them sending me shitty CDs that I don't want (like Linkin Park, which I forgot to send back and had to pay for!!! mad ). I had a hell of a time finding CDs that they carried that I actually wanted.....at first......then I ended up reaching their limit of 20. I ordered:

Talking Heads - Remain in Light
Tori Amos - Under the Pink
Depeche Mode - Violator
The Cure - Disintegration
Wu Tang Clan - Enter the 36 Chambers
Robert Johnson - King of the Delta Blues
Robert Johnson - King of the Delta Blues Vol. 2
Jeff Buckley - Live from Sin-E
Bjork - Post
The Raveonettes - Chain Gang of Love
Randy Newman - Sail Away
Tom Waits - Small Change
Tom Waits - Closing Time
Fugees - The Score
Lou Reed - Transformer
Prince - 1999
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
Modest Mouse - Good New for People...
The Strokes - Room on Fire
Neil Young - After the Gold Rush

A bunch of which I previously owned, but have mysteriously disappeared.

Their shipping costs are fucking ridiculous, but considering that it was buy 1 get 3 free I basically ended up paying about $6 for each CD which is pretty sweet.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!!!

...oh....and you too.

alpo:
Wow, some really good picks there. Remain in Light is a seriously weird album. I mean, all those early Talking Heads albums are weird, but that one especially. It's like some kind of time warp into David Byrne's future exploration of world music with all the African rhythms and lyrical themes there.
