Sorry I haven't been responding to the lovely people that leave comments in my journals. I'm a lazy bitch. I will visit all your journals soon and leave boring comments! I swear!
I had a pretty cool weekend. Friday night a good friend of mine threw a party at her house. We drank a lot of booze, smoked a little ganja (which I haven't done in quite some time....and don't really enjoy much anymore) and had some fun conversations.
The best thing was walking into the party seeing one of my best childhood friends for the first time in about 5 years. I about shit myself. Word was she was supposed to come, but I didn't think she would show. She's constantly MIA. But there she was and we had one of those cheesy movie moments where we ran towards each other and hugged for about 10 minutes. We spent a lot of the party catching up and reminiscing. I couldn't believe how much shit she remembered. It was hysterical.
Unfortunatly, I was also informed that her mom was really sick and in the hospital. I'm going to try to make it upstate where she is staying to visit. Her mom was always so fucking great to me. She was the mom that all the kids in the neighborhood wanted to chill with (we used the word "chill" a lot back in the day....yo) . I spent just about every weekend at her house throughout elementary school and she was always cool with it . I just hope to god she'll be ok.
I slept all day saturday, due to the fact that I didn't get home from the party until about 1 in the afternoon.
Sunday was pretty quiet too. My brother recently got a puppy so he brought it over and we had a barbque. Very tender. Fell right off the bone.
I had to be up at 7 am today for a meeting at work. I slept maybe 2 hours before the meeting and I haven't been to sleep yet. Sleep really fucks with me. I never get enough of it and I never sleep normal hours. That has to change before school starts.
Anyways....yeah......fascinating stuff....*burp*
Update 8/3/04:
Mercury is in retrograde, no? Must be.

Re Xmas shopping: I'm such a dork that I do it all year. When I see some item that somebody I know would like, I just buy it and throw it in the closet... then when it's their birthday, or Christmas, or whatever, I just take one from the pile that's earmarked for that person. Sometimes I give people things that I bought years ago and I was just waiting for an occasion to give.
