Has everyone read courtney's first journal entry? It's quite a challenge to get through to say the least. My personal favorite part was when she described one of the smilies instead of inserting it into her journal.
The only thing I could think of while I was reading her entry was the bit on the Howard Stern show when they play Aram Khachaturians "The Sabre Dance" (Ed Sullivan plate spinner music, also used in Pee Wees Big Adventure) while Artie Lange shouts out various topics of her stream of consciousness rants. God it's funny.
I met Artie Lange once. He was coming out of a bar by himself in Hoboken. It was kinda sad. My friend chased him down the street and snapped a picture of him.
By the way, I'm jumping on the personalized avatar bandwagon. There's no shame in my game.
The likeness is quite astonishing.

Anyway, no, I haven't seen Spider yet. Is it good? How does it compare to Cronenberg's other films? I think on the whole I like his earlier lower-budget stuff like Scanners and The Brood better than the later ones, but eXistenZ is an exception---I can watch it over and over.
