So, instead of studying for finals, I decided to transfer all of my CDs that I had in drawers to a CD holder book thingy. I haven't thrown out the cases yet though. I can't seem to part with them and the back covers and I'm not sure why. I was going to take out the back covers and put them in with the CDs but they don't fit in the slots. And I don't really see keeping the back covers in a seperate place. The purpose of the transfer is to free up space in my room....but I can't decide if throwing out the cases is a good thing or not. Why would I be so attached to pieces of plastic and paper inserts?

Anyways, I realized a few things about my CD collection while going through the transfer:

1. I have ridiculously schitzophrenic taste in music. Here are just some of the "A"'s: Annie Lennox, Angry Samoans, Atari Teenage Riot, Aerosmith, Alien Sex Fiend, Aquabats, AC/DC, Albert King, Anal Cunt, Assuck, Ani Difranco, Animals, Atom and His Package. They're only in loose alphabetical order....I'm not that anal retentive.

2. I have way too many greatest hits albums. What a waste of money. I'm never buying a greatest hits album again.

3. I have too many CDs that I have only listened to once or twice.

4. I have too many CDs that I don't want and not enough that I do want. Very typical of my normal mentality.

5. All in all, I'm proud of my music collection. It just needs a bit of an update. In high school I went crazy buying CDs and I've only bought maybe 20 since then.


I've said it before and I'll say it again....I am so fucking fascinating!
