You just need to come out here to the wild west, where every other person owns a gun, even in a big city like Portland. In rural eastern Oregon, Montana, Idaho, etc. it's probably closer to 100%. I'm just 15 minutes away from a range where I can shoot paper targets. If I drove half an hour more, I could get way out into the woods on state forest land, where you can shoot bottles, cans or whatever as long as you clean up after yourself.

Shooting is lots of fun, but I think it also gives you a healthy respect for violence and the fragility of human life. You just need to see what one rifle bullet will do to a watermelon to appreciate how close by death is at all times.

The Liz has been in many shows that I have seen, I used to watch Catwalk back in the day, you know...when it was popular and I was like..6 years old hahah..but seriously it was a good show.

Yes! Catwalk was a show about a bunch of "teenagers" I think they were teenagers...maybe early twenties...who were in a band..(lead singer was the liz) and..I think some of them were models? But yea...The liz has been in many shows here and there.

What did you get at Applebee's? I like the Aztec Chicken Salad.

It's kind of like a taco salad with grilled chicken instead of mystery taco meat. It is pretty spicy, though---they must put a lot of pepper and chili powder on the chicken when they cook it---so maybe you wouldn't like it. Their burgers are decent if you're looking for something better than the disappointing chicken strips. I don't go to chain places that often as a rule (too many good non-chain restaurants where I live), but my in-laws love Applebee's, so I think I have tried everything on their menu at least once.

Hmm, maybe I should watch Cuckoo's Nest again. It's been a while, I just remember not being able to deal with the switch from first person to third... but on the other hand a lot of people consider it one of the best movies ever, so maybe I'll give it another try.

Anyway, no, I haven't seen Spider yet. Is it good? How does it compare to Cronenberg's other films? I think on the whole I like his earlier lower-budget stuff like Scanners and The Brood better than the later ones, but eXistenZ is an exception---I can watch it over and over.
