As December advances through it's course, it mellows out, becoming almost hospitable. For example, the low at the moment is 21 degrees Fahrenheit and the high was a balmy 33. It's these these at the end of the year that bid thoughts of coziness and, to me oddly enough, that kitschy gemtlichkeit feeling one associates with a traditional western depiction of winter. Momentarily, thoughts regarding the brutality of a Wyoming snowstorm are tossed aside and regarded as stupid musings. It's days like these and the waning days of march that make me miss the summer less.
