When I was a dancer none of the girls had health insurance. Except for me. Through my father's farm co-op. I owned part of the farm so I was eligible. It always amaxed me how women who were making a fair amount of money couldn't afford basic medical care. It was really sad. Something really does need to change.

Kind words, brother. You're not the first peson to tell me that either. For a time, I did actually aspire to a career in writing, but after a few years of buttin' my head against the wall I realized that mainly what I am is a decent wordsmith, not so much a story teller. My best stuff tends to be too personal and too occluded for any kind of wide audience. Nowadays I mainly write therapeutically with no real thought toward any kind of distribution. It just tends to work better that way.
