Well, thank god that's over. So's not to spread unfair slander, I will point out that Tryon, NC (pop. 1400) is a really, really cool town by the standards of small carolina mountain villages. There's actually a surprisingly interesting artist/artisan community, and a disproportionately large number of very decent restaurants. But it is, in fact, surrounded by the most stereotypical of redneck country. So there you go.
