Friday Nights Gig Dismantled (somewhat)
After showing up @ Annies Social Club at 8 (cool new space in S.f. where the covered wagon used to be) for a non exsistant soundcheck (lest non exsistant @ 8 due to the sound guy flaking) "3 days Clean" backed out due to the drummer having to suddenly leave town or something so it was just the Congested Few and Kreamy et/al.....After the congested fews set their drunken bassist proceded to smash a glass with his bass (which at the time was in its case "bass not glass") Dunno what crashed his mind but he soon followed suit by smashing his bass to blitereen's and being elegantly escorted out.All to the amusement of their buddy who videotaped the whole shindig...(Nothing embellishes the day after hungover regret than the actual footage yipee) This brought me back to dire memorys from yonder back "a certain night at Churchills" when I single handedly dystroyed my only two guitars to the massive excitement of the crowd (they didnt have to pay for new gear and were only amused after seeing Kurt Cobain do the same at Bayfront park) Anyway this scenerio paired up with my Super reverb suddenly sounding like short wave (or shit ass fuck) in mid set put a wee bit of a damper on the gig last night. I think after blowing 400 bucks fixing the amp over this year I'll be in the market for a solid state replacement for future gigs suggestions anyone? frown
I understand the same night some jerk broke a window at Grandmas House causing the police to show up and shut them down from what I gather perminently. Good job moron whoever you are "where do you live?"
Im spending Saturday cleaning house..Thou I doubt I'll get much done. Actualy I didnt this posting was done on the 12th as an afterthought..oh well
