Lesbian Vampires?!? D00d! Heh.
You should have a coffee.
Wow... EYE should have some coffee....
That sounds SOOOOOO good right now.
Mmm...
fuck, i'm out of milk.
Ugh, I'm finally back home. I never did get my ride to Madison last night to see the Paybacks, thanks to my friend chumping out on me. Chump!
I ended up taking the train back to Chicago, which of course had to be almost three hours late. I can't complain though, because it was for a good cause: somebody done got runned over.
Still in nowhereville, WI. Things are going fairly well, I'm spending a bunch of time with friends and doing my best to avoid languishing in the quagmire that is my family. What the hell, at least I'm not working!
Time to go and have some free booze, I'll update soon!
Here I am in sunny, scenic LaCrosse Wisconsin. Last time I was here there was a battle royale being waged over the city's right to put up a monument to "The Ten Commandments" in a park downtown. And no, I'm not talking about the Charleton Heson movie; I don't think anyone would complain about that!
Of course, neither side wanted to back down in the... Read More
I had an anti-American experience while in France when i was 15. Old man and a woman were walking past our tour group as we made our way back to the hotel, and the man started shouting, in bad english something like "welcome to paris! Drink our wine! eat our food! See our things! be at home!" all the while his wife is shushing him in french and pulling his arm.
I thought it was reeeeeally funny.
Still do.
Those wacky French.
so i saw an episode of the real world (in paris) last week and it made me want to barf- most of the cast on there seemed to pride themselves on their ignorance of french culture practically. one guy even swore that he hated french people and would never learn the language...then one day they go to alliance francaise (same episode...they were forced) and this dude leaves all of a sudden declaring he loves the french and france etc...
The highlight of my day:
Semi-crush girl is standing in the doorway at work, waiting for the rain to subside before leaving for the day.
Me: Don't you want to walk home in the rain?
SCG: I would, but I have to go to (store down the street) to get a chicken.
Me: Why do you need a chicken? (ie: are you cooking for someone?)... Read More
Madison problems stem from money, so unless you got a couple grand for new car and habitat.... I'd be your best friend... and dig tunnels for you to explore... and hook you up to the prime pigs-on-golf-cart-viewing vistas all over this great nation... i promise.
Mmmm, Lambrusco. I've never had this stuff before, but it may end up being a good friend to me this summer.
I found out some good news from the landlord today, specifically that the apartment below me should remain vacant until August first or so, assuming that he does find someone to take it right away.
Perhaps these two events can converge and lead to... Read More
Mmmm, bowling. I did fairly well tonight, including a 164 which ain't too shabby indeed. Doing this as a regular thing sure has helped my average a bit.
For some reason I'm all wound up and I don't expect to be getting a lot of sleep tonight. Maybe because I got almost eleven hours last night...yeah, that probably wasn't a good idea, but it was... Read More
Back to work again, 8th day in a row. My schedule has been crazy lately, but I have wed and thurs off, so that'll be my recovery/reorientation time. Then I'm off again sat-mon so I can skip town. Not too shabby.
I'm also working 10-6 as of today, rather than 9-5. I'm afraid that's just going to lead to me sleeping for an extra hour,... Read More
I'm a confirmed Mescal fan...I've eaten way too many worms in the bottom of those evil yet lovely drinks, and bottles of Monte Alban Mescal don't last very long at all, especially if there are burritos or chimichangas around to soak up the liquid (I fortunately know how to make them! ).
im headed to europe for 3 weeks in december-jaunary. ive never been outside of the united states, so im very excited. i have lodging covered in italy and germany, but for the week that ill be in england, ill need a place to stay. while i dont want to stay in the four seasons, i dont want to stay in a hostel if its going to be a lousy experience. ive heard stories about filthy conditions, people robbing your shit, being kicked out on the street at 8am, etc. im sure theyre not all like that, but if i need to, i can afford a moderate hotel room
