I really don't have anything to say, but I like the idea of updating my journal every day, so here goes nothing...
I've been daydreaming too much lately. Posting about things that happened a year ago, longing to be somewhere else, when I really should be focusing on the present.
Focus. Now there's something I could use.
My neighbor has a cat, who comes over to hang out once in a while, and generally prowls around the neighborhood. I worry about her sometimes, because she crosses the street often, and I know the cars don't like to stop, even though there's a stop sign on every damn corner. But today, I saw her crossing the street, and I don't think there's anything to worry about. She had traffic stopped in both directions, just sauntering across, without a care in the world.
Sometimes it amazes me, how even though we go to such great lengths to destroy every scrap of nature in the world, a simple, elegant animal can show us that we'll never conquer them.
She rocks.
