sandwich grec.
So last night I got to see Holly Golightly, my mostest favoritest band in the whole wide world. The show in general was great, with some parts being truly genius.
I was supposed to go with a friend of mine, but she backed out an hour before we had agreed to meet, saying that she was depressed and didn't feel like going out. This pissed me off for reasons that go beyond the fact that I ended up going alone, and if it had been any other show, I would've just stayed at home and been angry.
I was thinking that a year ago, I was in Iceland, being happy and amazed and in love with such a beautiful place and all the lovely people there. Coincidentally, I saw Holly Golightly in Minneapolis the day before I left.
That was yesterday. A year ago today, I was in London, eating amazing Indian food, drinking bitter in the pub, listening to the accents that were music to my ears, and playing with a cute English girl's dog in Hyde Park.
15 months ago I was in Paris, celebrating New Year's eve with my gf, cramming ourselves onto the most jam-packed metro car in history, kissing an obscene number of strangers, and fumbling through my French to order "sandwich grec."
Today, I'm here.
