Last night's date went well, which is to be expected any time you throw a bottle and a half of sparkling wine and some flightless bird into the mix. Mmmm, ostrich.

I decided to spoil myself with a good meal and some Burgundy today. I had steak, which I really don't eat often, in fact I may have had it less than ten times in my whole life. Damn, it was good, but I feel like I have half a cow in my stomach. When did I get to be such a carnivore? The wine is yummy too, and I had the cute girl at work help me pick it out too.

I went to the location of the latest Chicago flash mob today, but I couldn't bring myself to participate. I guess I forgot a couple of things: I hate being in or around large groups of people, and this neighborhood gets unbearably obnoxious on the weekends. Tourists, go away!

I can't stop listening to the new Holly Golightly cd. It rkks in that special Golightly way.
I watched a movie today that I've been hunting for for quite some time, The Sin of Nora Moran. It's got Zita Johann, one of my favorite actors, in it, and it's generally pretty crazy. Fun stuff.
I found a couple of Coffin Joe movies on DVD, so I may have to pick up one or two of them...after all, I have no Brazilian movies in my collection.

I got a video in the mail the other day, "Experiments in the Revival of Organisms." It supposedly documents some (successful?) Russian attempts to reanimate dead animals in the 1940s. This, the wine, and some vicodin are going to be my evening.

Tomorrow: brunch date, followed by lots and lots of laziness!
