Since I sniff around so many other's blogs, I thought it only fair that I sometimes put a few words in my OWN blog.
My wife was in London on business...and missed her birthday...so I baked her a cake for her arrival last night. I'm not a complete idiot in the kitchen, but there is some cake demon who is always trying to foil my plans. For example, I did this once before and kinda ignored that instruction to let the cake cool before putting the frosting on. I now know the reason why....frosting runs off the cake!!!!!! So last night's demon attacked my decorations. I decided to paint a little flower on the cake. By the end, it looked like a flock of birds used it for bird poop target practice!!! Thankfully....my wife appreciates the effort more than the outcome and I still got bonus husband points! woohoooooo. (btw...they always seem to taste good...but they just look kinda hideous!!)

Hmmmm....should I blame my lack of skill and the need for practice?? Or would it be better to blame some kind of satanic influence?? Blaming satan is certainly easier
