RIP Jonathon Christopher

My brother's friend and friend of the family Jonathon Christopher died in a car crash at about 6:00pm, Sunday evening driving along Ignacio Blvd in Novato. He was 21 years old. He left De Silva's Bar in Novato to go and pick up a friend to come back and finish watching the game. He was so drunk that no one would give him his keys to drive. So he took his girlfriend's keys from her purse and some how rammed the Honda at 80Mph into a pair of concrete pillars that marked the arrival of Novato's newest development homes. The skidmarks are 200 ft long. They had to use the Jaws of Life to get him out. He was dead before them got him to the hospital.

He left his parents, his half-sister and a multitude of others who have been utterly destroyed by this tragedy. All beause he thought he was okay to drive. I can't expect people to listen when I say that they shouldnt drink and drive, but when I have to make that decision I know that I'll remember John's parents looking me in the eyes and pleading with me never to make that stupid mistake that they and everyone around them now have to suffer for.
