i woke up after a series of dreams thats clarity of nonsense kept me uneasy. there was a mans voice talking so softly it was nearly inaudible, a creak indicating a change of weight distribution on my floor in the corner. being skeptical and scared, i turned my head over on the pillow to give my left ear a chance to analyze the situation. my computer's hum broke into a thousand pieces of technical gibberish, the source of the voice was Technically gone, and the boiler of my house turned on and the pipes creaked the floorboard in a completely foreign way. i turned on my light just to make sure. i heard a car pull up in front of my house. i live in the woods. it is 4 o clock in the morning. then there was something inexplicably bothersome about the fact that one tube sock had fallen to my ankles during the night; and becoming frustrated, and following the logic of early morning thought, i took that one off. i waited. i kept my left ear up, and tried to fall back asleep but had light dreams about not recognizing faces of people i love. i got lonely. and woke up my computer.
i just looked out my window to check the status of the phantom car. it is non existent, and only one of my legs is warm.
