Everyone seems suitably sombre this morning. The top deck of my regular bus was unsuprisingly empty. I'm quite dissapointed by the lack of defience. But if people feel safer staying at home then fair enough.
Getting home yesterday was strange. Thousands of people walking out of central London. Some bizzare exodus. Maybe people will see how far it isn't and get some exercise now.
Occasionally I wish I could pray; at least believe that I could do something effective even if it only satisfies me. How do we help? How do we lend our strength?
