Hi all, I'm back. Two weeks freezing my tits off in French hail storms didn't kill me! But I can't say it made me stronger either. I'm still missing a few layers of skin off my fingers.

Anyway. Generally successful I guess in that I have no more exercises left at Sandhurst and I know my way around a French ration pack. Lets make a comparison:

French:
Atlantic cod, vegetables and rice salad. (good hot or cold)

English:
Lamb stew (14% mutton)

French:
a firm Rouillade of deer pat

English:
cat-food-style chicken pat with mysterious yellow liquid on surface.

French:
Chocolate fondue

English:
There is simply no equivalent.


Don't get me wrong, we have beans and sausages for breakfast and I couldn't work out what their breakfast was. That's why ours is far superior. I love this man's Army.

So now there's 10 days to go until I commission to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery with a march around the square and a massive piss up in my new mess dress, spurs included. (Thank you tax payer) Wait out for the inevitable vanity shots.

Good to be back. Now where are the girls...
