Be sure and check out the lovely Spink's set "Along Came a Spider" and give it some love. So glad we could get this out for Halloween. Spink's a doll, not only beautiful, but fun, too, and I think this set shows both! 
Insurance is all settled up on the car after the wreck. They declared it a total loss, and my mechanic agreed - it got smashed pretty good, caving in the rocker panel and shoving the A-post up at least an inch. Pity, that was a great car, and I'm going to miss that 34 mpg! Still, they gave us a good settlement for the car, and we've got another lined up -- hopefully it'll be ready by the end of the week. Until then my wife and I are sharing a car, which works, mostly.
I'm getting psyched up for NaNoWriMo, too. Not sure if I'll really manage to write 50,000 words in November, but I'm going to give it a good shot. I've got my two main characters pretty well developed, and a fair amount of the plot outlined. We'll see if I stick to the outline or not once I start writing. I'm a little afraid the female main character may hijack it and take it her own direction...
I'm in for a bit of minor surgery tomorrow, and then get to experience one of the joys of turning 50 (NOT!) on November 1... a colonoscopy. So my Halloween is going to be all trick, no treat.
Oh well, such is life. Other than that, things are going reasonably well (at least as long as I don't look at my bank account).
