Updates:
My mom is having surgery today to remove the clot -- it'll be done under a local, so it's not such a big deal. Wouldn't be any concern, except when you're 87, everything becomes a concern....
Piebald (our dog) is back home for now, thoroughly doped out on benadryl as well as some stomach protectants. She'll stay that way until next Wednesday, when she's scheduled to come in for evaluation and (hopefully) surgery to remove the tumor. We won't have any good feel for her prognosis until after the surgery when the tumor is checked out by histopathology. They will grade the tumor and that will best determine the prognosis. Keep your fingers crossed for a grade 1 tumor!
We're playing a little gig tonight at the local public library (this is a brass ensemble for those who missed it), so that should be fun. I'm not sure whether or not we'll rehearse afterwards. I'd normally suspect not, but we might given that we perform again at the local "twilight festival" on 6/8. I guess it will depend on how tonight goes....
Art in the Park is barely a week away now, so I'm starting to sweat about getting everything done in time. I do have 4 full days to work on it, however (Sat-Mon and then next Fri), so hopefully I'll git'er done.
It looks like I get to spend money on new studio lights... The old cheapo Briteks are starting to flake out. I'm going to go with Alien Bees this time. LOL So.... I need your help in selecting the color of lights to get. The choices are: Star White, Deep Space Black, Mello Yello, Alien Green, or Martian Pink. Just to be clear, that's the color of the flash unit, not the color light it produces. LOL

You could walk past his place at 2 AM and hear the band practicing. One time, at a local coffee house late at night, he and a couple of the band came in and started playing folk songs on acoustics.
My goodness but he is an UGLY man!
Even as I was typing these I was thinking "How did you ever put X above Y????" so don't give me any shit, ok?
Now be honest.... how many of those 40 bands have you NEVER HEARD OF?
Good God, I'm old.
