Last night I fell asleep at 3am. Awoke at 6:30am to load the car. Got to Tahoe at 10:00. I was dissapointed at the amount of nothingness Boreal had on their first day. The snow was great, powder, a few hardpressed trails from the day before, but there were only 2 rails, and some ghetto kickers inbetween the trees, made by the locals.
2pm, another lift opened up, exposing the right side of the mountain. In the last run of the day, I split my elbow open on a rock throwing a 180, then knock the wind out of myself and mess up my right shoulder doing a 360... back to back.
After leaving first aid at 4pm, we hit the freeway to head back to Chico, only to miss our "shortcut" exit. My job was expecting me at 6:30. The medic back at Boreal thought I could use stitches but I didn't have the time to see a doctor. I couldnt be late to work...
Somehow, thanks to strategic driving and passing of cars, I made it there ten minutes early, just time enough to change out of my snow fit, into the black and tie... with one hand (I'm not supposed to bend my elbow untill I see a doctor).
It is now 3:24, and again this vehicle aches for a tune up. The rest of my night will be spent recharging. That was my day....
