Yesterday was a good day. I went thrifting and bought the ugliest, most beautiful dress in the world for 5 bucks. It's strapless pink chiffon from the 50's, with black polka dots. Yes, I'm bringing back polka dots. Anyway, it fits me like it was made for me. I've decided it will be my death gown....

Got some new ink yesterday as well. "Fate", very low middle back. Heavy, I know, but necessary. I must not become disenchanted when love again falls through my fingers.
Wrote a new song yesterday as well. I'm calling it "The Big Red No", and will commence recording of it on my Roland digital recorder today (my baby...) It's shaping up to be pretty darkish -- less sappy than the others.
But I must be successful with my music...
I MUST RESOLVE to do it.

UPDATE: Oh my god...I'm brilliant. I'm fucking brilliant. I have been working like a dog on this song all day long. I just finished the draft (draft meaning the song is DONE and RECORDED, but has not been recorded in a professional studio). And...oh shit...I think it's the best thing I've ever written before. Certainly the darkest. I actually cried when I finished it and listened for the first time. It's days like these I feel so thankful to be myself...I rarely find opportunities to feel proud of myself. I do today.
