Napping has of late become a haunting experience for me. The first time it really shook me was about a month ago. The wind was howling outside during my internals of lucid dreaming. It chilled me to the bone, so much so that finding comfort in consciousness was difficult.

The sound of the wind whipping outside my window now stirs fear in me when before there was none.

Today I fell asleep on a sofa chair. Still in my work apron. Feet dangling off the edge. Cold. It was cold and damp today. Our house is poorly insulated, and I have a psychotic roommate who raises hell if the thermostat is set above 65 degrees. That, in combination with the paper walls set the temperature to about 60, which is just cold enough to be really uncomfortable if you're napping and your body temperature is already dropping due to that. I don't know why I mentioned the cold. I suppose it's the reason I kept drifting in and out of consciousness. My surroundings weren't cozy enough to...settle inside my mind fully. Enter lucid dreams.

I won't tell you what they were about. It's nothing personal, and honestly I can't remember much about them other than towers made of barbed wire fences and lying naked in the grass desperately scrambling for frisbees to cover my unmentionables....

But I really dislike lucid dreaming. I awoke unsure of the state of myself. I awoke unsettled entirely, just as I felt the night the wind came.

That's really all I have to say. It's not exactly smalltalk and it's not exactly interesting, but it was on my mind.

Goodnight.

I actually like it when I have those lucid dreams. But then again it might have something to do with my fucked up spiritual beliefs and the fact that I see them as communication between realms.
