in a pensive, restless mood. i don't have to work until 10 am tomorrow, so i've got all this extra time and nothing to fill it with but circular thoughts. i try to think about something else besides tony, but my thoughts always come back to him in some way. i know from experience that the only way to stop this is to talk to...

you should definately wait for him to call. don't succumb to the urge. fight it off, wait for him to call and you will appreciate it more when he does.......anyways....how could he not call you back!

foreign lip gloss is sticky. the proverbial glamour theat glimmers is irrespectively naught without irony.

thanks for your comments, guys. i talked to one of my coworkers extensively today about tony, in order to soothe the beast of my concsience, and we came to the conclusion that it would not be a bad thing for me to pursue him, but that i should be wary all the same. besides, me being the idealist and romantic that i am, i simply...

I'll never top the shark, will I.

I like almost any meal that someone else makes for me, or any meal that ends in cake or pie or cookies or ice cream. Other than that...hmmm...mac and cheese, good steaks, sauteed green beans, brie on bread, chips and salsa and sour cream, stroganoff, many other things. Not all together though, of course. Too many things.

saturday, i went to visit my grandma. i've never really sat and just talked to her, alone, before. she is the coolest! in spite of the bypass surgery (in spite of her whole life, which has been a hard one) she is still alive and kicking. and i also got to see that my feistiness has been handed down in my family; its not just...

Hey, I visited my grandparents on saturday too. My grandma's not doing too well. They're in an assisted living place (kinda like a big hotel/apartment building for sick old people) and they don't like it very much. My grandma is depressed and in pain and there doesn't seem to be much of anything anyone can do about it. It sucks.

...about your new friend: Hey, I thought you were gay. I didn't know that you're a double agent. Maybe I just picked up that impression from previous posts and journal entries. Oh well, you learn something new every day. Anyway, have fun with your new friend but remember, he's already demonstrated that he's not to be trusted.
jorganic:
Yes it is so awesome talkin to your elders about their lifes. Its so important to connect with them on a human to human level. I once had to do a project in High School where I interviewed my Grandfather about how he and my grandmother met, which was a beautiful experience because we got to talk about what he was like when he was my age. Old folks have so much great knowledge that they do not get to share often enough.

As for polyamory, its not true ployamory unless its honest and open, there should be no aspect of "cheating" in the equation. But hey, guilty nooky is sometimes the best, no?

my mind is so confused these days, its a wonder i get anything done. oh wait, i DON'T get anything done....

i volunteered for hempfest and haven't gotten a reply. i really hate stoners sometimes, even if i do think weed should be legal.

i'm working night shift again. sitting there, reading a book without absorbing any of it, but daydreaming around the words instead. i turn the page, but i've lost the narrative.
no one comes in, in these early hours. this...

saw a norwegian movie called "Elling" last night. (norwegian and swedish are supposedly two different languages, but i could understand a surprising amount of what they said, without the subtitles.) the first ten minutes or so, i was thinking "this is going to be such shit..." but by the end, i was hooked. its a good, good movie. go see it.

also discovered recently that...

what an excellent weekend! friday night, i went to lane's fire show. they played twice, and in between i went to zac's saloon and got really drunk, which i haven't done in a long time. afterwards, we went back to zac's and watched a really good punk show. i'm not that (outwardly) punk but i loved the energy that everyone had. its nice to see...

About the beauty over brains comment I'd rather brains cause although you may think only beautiful people get hugs your wrong. When I was in time of need for some huggin action I got none other than my own family, and even that was wierd. Beauty sometimes makes other people standoffish. That sucks! I hate that a lot! Though a brainiac would already know the personal secrets of their souls and life and shine beauty from their core. Those are the people that get hugs.
Mental hug*

Well i dont know, i would have to say that iam semi-intelligent... and it really hasnt gotten me anywhere. Except for in trouble really. If i was beautiful it would get me everywhere and trust me, i watch those stupid prety kids all the time at work. They get what ever they want, jobs, cars, free stuff, dates, ... (which i have none of, well except for the job) not that iam bitter or anything, cause iam....

but iam still torn, i couldnt make that kind of decision

this silly, hypothetical question has been bugging me all day, and it will probably continue to harass me all weekend. given the choice between the two, and provided that choosing one means you do not get the other, which would you rather have, beauty, or intelligence?

charm and personality only last 15 minutes after that you had better have a big dick or huge tits. so i'd have to go with beauty on this one.

to answer your follow-up question of "but what if you were so ugly nobody wanted to look at you",

think about what the intelligence equivalent to being so ugly no body will look at you is.

that would be a bad fucking scene.

ugh. i hate days like yesterday, days when i'm caught in a fog of emotion based disgust. but, my logic kicks in, and the usual psychoanalyzing begins, which eventually balances everything out (thank god) so that i can function without sneering at everything/one again.

it helped that i forced myself to do something productive once i got off the computer last night. my room has...
