what an excellent weekend! friday night, i went to lane's fire show. they played twice, and in between i went to zac's saloon and got really drunk, which i haven't done in a long time. afterwards, we went back to zac's and watched a really good punk show. i'm not that (outwardly) punk but i loved the energy that everyone had. its nice to see people excited about something, rather than feigning indifference.

saturday started out harsh but once we finally obtained the car we were borrowing and got the damn thing started, my friends jeremiah and paul and i went to visit our friend leif in yakima. leif's boyfriend was there from boston, also, so we hung out on leif's porch and smoked a lot of weed. we also went to this shitty, kitschy little casino called the caribbean, complete with fake jungle foliage and painfully bright carpet, where i gambled for the first time while very drunk on $1 well drinks. i am not good at blackjack when i can't see straight.

today was more sitting around and smoking. and i got "svenska serier" -swedish comics from my best friend today. i always check my mail on sunday, for some silly reason.

i still don't know whether i'd rather have brains or beauty. its kind of like, would you rather lose your hearing or your sight, if given the choice?
