i have a extended relative (third cousin, i think) who likes to pass on all her email forwards; which generally end up being religious and or conservative religious bullshit. why do i feel the need to at least skim through them? why can't i just delete them and preserve my poor calmness of mind??
today's installment just about made me sick. and i can't vent on her, because she is actually a sweet old lady whose company i enjoy. so i vent here: WTF??? separation of church and state is not really in the constitution?? and who gives a fuck if the washington monument has laus deo[/I} written in small letters at the top? don't you know obelisks are an abomination to God according to the old testament? and finally, christians are so DAMN narrow-minded, cannot even begin to understand their bias, and will never see what it has taken me 23 years to understand:
people hear what they want to hear, see what they want to see, and thus believe what they want to believe.
i feel quite fortunate to realize that i can and do choose my beliefs.

well, it was based on a lot of stuff I've said on the site. I hope it made you smile though. That was my main goal.
