well i'm back finally. spent some time with the parents (my dad's going through chemotherapy)...tried to avoid as much drama as possible...all in all a good visit. now it's back to the daily grind--actually i'm enjoying being at the high school for the most part. i need to enjoy this now before i'm actually responsible for the twerps.

Just got the official word, and it is: YES! Jen says she'll be sending out reminder emails to people who've signed up but haven't paid. I'm so excited that you're coming.

I didn't realize you got the school job (subbing?)--congrats! My turn, now (if I ever get off my petuckus and fill out the application whatever )

Ultimately, I want to be a college-level writing teacher, but in the meantime, I'm taking the semester school to establish residency and I want to see if I can get a gig subbing at the SF public schools. Sometimes I think being a high school English teacher could be fun, too, but I don't think I'll have the energy to do the however many more years of school it would take to get my teaching credentials.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're currently working on your BA, right? Is it in Education?
