teaching children about god

there's a few people i wish i could send this to, but that would just be asking for trouble.

p.s. it's not what you think. smile
deusexmachina:
dude, the moral to that little story really creeps up on you doesn't it? And then it just smacks you upside the head....nice.
venice:
I'm figuring that out I think, already. That even if I can't keep myself in that state all the time, it has made little changes in all kinds of places in me, and I can keep those.

today i got to see lemony snicket's a series of unfortunate events. i really liked it. i loved the dark, anachronistic world and all the eccentric characters. i love how each child has their own superpower-like quality that makes them an unstoppable team. and jim carrey was at his finest. only an infant could upstage him; her knowing one-liners were perfect. better stop writing...

deusexmachina:
find me tonight...so we can finish creating something that will stop any team....I have some new ideas, and need to bounce them off you...oh yeah, and an old quote that I rediscovered today
"Give him a hand folks, he's British."
venice:
Yeah, I definitely don't intend to get fully enlightened. Slightly is all I need at this point.

I think that crazy Venice is stronger simply because I don't understand her, so I can't control her. I know what she does, and I can eve predict what comes next, but I don't know why and I can't seem to stop it. I guess it's just stuff I need to work out with myself. Hopefully this will help with that.

i have a extended relative (third cousin, i think) who likes to pass on all her email forwards; which generally end up being religious and or conservative religious bullshit. why do i feel the need to at least skim through them? why can't i just delete them and preserve my poor calmness of mind??

today's installment just about made me sick. and i can't vent...

well, it was based on a lot of stuff I've said on the site. I hope it made you smile though. That was my main goal.
venice:
So are you willing to ship your dog up here from California to hunt my flies? wink

my new recently-found-temporarily-favorite quote:

"Highly intelligent and well-informed people disagree on every political issue."
- Dogbert

how can you not like dogbert.

on a totally unrelated note, i hope everyone is enjoying their holidays/family or at least tolerating them. sometimes family is all you've got; often it's more than enough.
odette:
I like catbert the most. smile

the dog is part rottweiler and probably part pit bull. my friendhas a dog that looks just like him and thats what she is.

creativity can be frustrating, but when it works it's beautiful. i have much respect for people whose livelihood depends on it.

thought that you would find the play thing amusing....and no, the production has yet to be determined, but apparently that is part of my job...oh jesus, this is going to be hell.
plia:
Happy (belated) Festivus dude.

P.S. I have been reading Billy Collins. I think he is both brilliant and hilarious.

the telephone is still possibly the best invention ever.

got in touch with my cousin, who i've adored for most of my life; good thing too, cause she's going through a bit of a rough time right now. always nice to re-affirm familial bonds.

called a college buddy of mine who informed me he's now living in Hollywood of all places...wants to stop by after...

I think we're going to work everything out now. I calmed down a bit and stated my case. I think they felt a bit guilty because they got another room. Everything is looking up now. smile

it's so rare that i actually remember a good dream. and this time i got woken up at a very critical part. argh. but i think because of that, i remember the dream better than i would have. i guess i'll have to take what i can get.
heresy2007:
bummer, that's like someone turning you on, and then walking away.
I had wierd dreams last night, hmmm, you just made me think about them.

anyway, hello!
plia:
I heard we remember dreams best when they get interrupted..kind of like the one that got away...

happy thanksgiving, guys. and think of all the things your thankful for. and all the things you're not. weigh the two.

this isn't really your current situation, just your perception of it. consider a perception adjustment. or not.

this was only a test. had this been an actual emergency, you would not be reading this, and your perceptions would be pretty accurate.

EROTOTOXINS:

i knew there was a reason i didn't need to take drugs.

OR

the war on drugs just got a lot more personal.
heresy2007:
and in class on tuesday we will talk about how the fundamentalist Bush regime (yes timmy, the one that destroyed this country), perverted science in order to provide "scientific proof" that supported their zealous christian beliefs.

On wednesday we will talk about how this ultimately lead to the letter A being branded into the breasts of all women who had had abortions, and the letter F into all gay people. This helped the Bush administration, and their fascist followers identify who to lynch, and burn at the stake.

you drug addict!
