Wow, it's been a while....
Hrm....what to talk about.
I move into a new place in about two weeks. It's _IN TOWN_!!!! Yee-Fucking-Haw!!! None of this 20 miles to work shit. I'm going to be just N of Chinatown...D.I. and Decatur.
Then around the third week in Sept. monimina gets here so that we can actually live in the same place again....same place meaning same fucking place, home wise, not same place, continent-wise.
BUT!!! About an hour after I signed the lease on Friday, I get a call from Montreal. Cirque HR was calling to set up an interview for the next tour.
Now mind you, I _did_ apply for the Head Rigger position, so I should be happy that they want to interview me...but they could have called two hours earlier for gods sake...then I would have only signed a 7 month lease...just in case. But like I told my buddy Ray once, a lease just means I have to pay rent, it doesn't mean I have to _live_ there. And who knows, maybe monimina will find some cool full time gig here.
But of course, I can always just tell them "No" if they offer me the job and I don't think it's the right move. We'll see.
What else has been going on....seems like not much, but I know that's probably not true.

Why don't you talk to the people you're leasing from and see if they can change the length of the lease? You wouldn't be asking to get out of it or anything, so they might be up for that. It'd be worth it to go.
