The real negotiating began yesterday. My deliverable is the compensation amount it would take for my friend to steal me away from my current employer. While I would take what I make now simply to get away - that's just not good business. So, I sat down last night and calculated a realistic desired compensation package with a target cash amount and will leave the remainder up to him (whether it's stock, bonus, etc.). He will present it to his boss on Friday and then the ball is rolling. Woohoo!
