i miss not having a dress code at work. It's all business at my bank. Skirts and heels and long sleeves to keep my tattoos covered

sadly yes, i work at a bank. it took me two months to find a job when i moved to this city, and it was the first place that hired me. I hate it, if you do look back in my journals you can see how I would come home and night and cry because I work at a place that feeds on the weakness of human beings.

But I have forced myself to accept it, because my working there I will have my student debt paid off in less than two years. Then I can quit and do what I want. It took a long time to decide what would be a lesser evil, but for now this is the route I'm taking.

I've been asking all of the people on my friends list the same thing for Christmas...and I'll cut you a deal. if you can help me, I will grant you a wish. anything within my power.

my Christmas wish is for you to find me a place in your town or area that my band can play at. We are beginning to book a tour for this summer and we're doing it all ourselves, so we need to get contacts to a variety of places (mostly in the eastern half of the US and Canada...we'll take contacts for out west, but we are probably not gonna go west of the rockies this year unless we can get ALOT of gigs out there).

so, if you can help us we'd love you forever. phone numbers to clubs, emails, websites, and even contacts to bands in your area that might be able to help us out would be wonderful. We don't really have a specific genre of music we play, so we will go well with bands from any genre (granted, we usually play punk/indy shows, but our style of music would probably not be defined as such).

so anyway...merry christmas again .

wow, good luck with that thing with the girl! i have dated long distance and let me tell you, it fucking blows. i met this cartoonist i 'm a fan of when he was touring with his show. we were instantly like glue, but he lives in california and i live in milwaukee. so for 7 months, we dated. i'd fly out there once a month for 4 days at a time. shit's not cheap. it was too much bullshit, so i broke it off, but we're still friends, so that's cool.

then i met a guy on here from indiana. coolest dude and we have so much in common, but i learned my lesson once. it really sucks for me. there are NO more dateable guys in this city, but i can't date someone who lives elsewhere.

so, i just hope things work out better for you than they did for me.
