Last week i drove out to my dads house in northwest Arizona to get out of the city for the night, and of course to hang out with dear old dad.
I was in the workshop cutting up an old bicycle frame to make a paper towel dispencer for my kitchen at home when dad asked to see my recently finished tattoo work on the side of my chest.
He was very impressed with the work, and told me when i was about 4 years old he knew i was going to someday have several tattoos.
Growing up in northwest oregon my family use to go to county fairs alot, and one year a small carnival / circus came into the small town of Banks, Oregon near where we lived.
So the whole family spent a sunday afternoon enjoying the different shows and attractions.
Aperently on 3 seperate occasions i would run off to go see the "Real Live Painted Women." The last time my dad came to find me i had slipped through the fence to get closer to these women. My dad found me sitting next to one of these beautiful women holding her arm looking over every detail tattooed into her skin. mesmerized.
Ive always been attracted to women with tattoos, to me it shows a personality that knows that you dont have to look like a Victoria Secrects model to be beautiful. You can be an individual who has the courage and pride to show what you care for right on your skin.
So aperently ive been pretty consistant with the women ive been attracted to over my life so far.
These are comforting thoughts and memories for me.
