being an artist gives one a sense of heightened awareness, to see beyond just the image into the actual nature of your environment, and the interconnectedness of all the things that make it up. it's such a lovely thing.

yeah, and that would make a whole lot more sense as to why harry has to stay with the dursleys every summer and why he's completely protected as long as that's his home. At least, it's a much stronger reason than the flimsy "petunia is lily's blood thus carries harry's protection" thingy. I dunno, I just thinks it makes sense.

wed night was a bit apocalyptic wasn't it? i was out running around in the rain too. in search of inebriation and nonsense, of course. sorry your old stomping ground has been stomped by the evil empire. don't let The Man get you down.

maybe it's something about the Bay Area that's fucking with all of our lives. there's been some weird stuff going around. that being said, at the end of the day, if you stay true to yourself, you'll have no regrets.

my weekend was okay. i have Strep throat and it is very painful. i went out anyway and DJ'ed at a friend's party in the Mission and had a great time.

i just watched Mulholland Drive last week and i was having a conversation with a friend pretty much throughout the movie and it was almost as if the movie became the soundtrack for our conversation. it was very odd. sort of like lining up "Dark Side of the Moon" with the "The Wizard of Oz".

what is it that you do? besides collect good movies and music? also, which is better "Blue Velvet" or "Mulholland Drive"?
