My oh my. St. Patrick's day....yeah. I've posted some picts from Blue and the following day. If you were there, you know how it went down. If not, come to the next one.
I slacked all day yestersday with Mohawk5417. We woke up at some mysterious house in Hollywood. Trilobyte was there..so was Cedar. Trlio got up and left to walk to his car before remembering to take his jacket with him. A small problem considering his phone, keys, and checkbook were in the pockets. Mohawk, Cedar, and I tried our hardest to find him, but no luck. After a while, we felt we had gathered enough karma points and returned the jacket to the mystery house, figuring Trilo would return for it.
A few moments later we found ourselves in classic Thursday morning traffic on the Ventura Fwy. The music and company had me wanting the traffic to go on a little longer...who the hell am I kidding. Fuck traffic!
We left Cedar off at home to change for work and continued on the yellow lined street towards whatever was waiting. It turns out that breakfast at Mel's Drive was waiting and we made it just in time. Just a little side note: Mel's doesn't serve soup until after 11am. And even if it's 10:50am(it was..no bull), don't you even think of asking for that soup. Luckily Mohawk used some of her dark jedi ninja powers and negotiated the soup to ur table before I leveled the building with a psychic blast. Oh yeqah, did I forget to tell you, we dicovered that we both are masters ot he dark jedi ninja arts. Of course, I'd say I'm neither dark nor light. That I have jedi ninja powers that help me out when needed. But everyone around me wants a fuckin' label so fine, I'll be dark.
After Mel's we stopped off at my pig pen to digest all the dead plants and chicken pieces in our stomachs. Then Mohawk mentioned something...what? Did you just say what I think you just said? Battle Royale II on dvd? Now?
Within' 15 minutes I had a copy of that, an ultra-pro female anime called Pone Poni Ponei (I have no idea how to spell it..it's a boot), the Art of the Hellboy movie, and a dvd remote for my xbox.
Battle Royale II - don't listen to what others have said. All I'll say is I was left so impressed and happy with it. It's not the first one, it's a whole new game....
Poni Pone P-Diddy was nuts. It did feel a bit anti-guy for an anime. But that's just my own complex. But the designs were hot and the animation (french accent) superb.
Art of Hellboy book - Look, by now you either love Hellboy or arn't interested. Me likey very much.
Xbox Remote - click!
The rest of the day was a movie watching, arcade going, KFC eating slackfest. It lasted up until around midnight when we both passed out while watching Hulk.
This morning, I drove Mohawk home so she could shower and change before reuniting with her boy up north. Then a quick jump to show for my last day at work where I'm typing this very journal entry.
Shit, I've gotta get home to clean up before tonight..I hope to see a bunch of you there. I imagine it'll last pretty late into the night.
And one last note. I may be spotty on and off this week. I'm getting set up for internet access at home but it may take a while to get the internet people to come to my place to hook it up. In the meantime, it's off to internet cafe's and my old school to use their connection.
