Well, I suppose I should attempt to write something in here... no, I am too lazy right now. I will write something when I get home and have a chance to think. *chuckle*
Okay, time to move on. So, how is everyone doing today? I am doing reasonably well thanks, resolving to at least attempt to live every day as if it were my last:
"Meditation on inevitable death should be performed daily. Every day when one's body and mind are at peace, one should meditate upon being ripped apart by arrows, rifles, spears and swords, being carried... Read More
I have no respect for anyone that would give a fake number. It is not that I am upset at being given a wrong number, it is that it seems such a sad and pathetic way of avoiding potential unpleasantness. You are perfectly safe in a public space, so have a spine and just brush of the request with "You are cute, but I... Read More
*chuckle* Well, that was fucking weird. I stopped by the restaurant Dylan works at to see if she wanted to go out on her day off and she essentially completely ignored me. I was about to take it as a signal that for some reason she had somehow lost all interest me and couldn't even bring herself to say it to my face, but I asked a girl that works there about it straight out ("You know Dylan right? So, is she just ridiculously busy or is she ignoring me?") and she said that Dylan is just ridiculously busy and would get in trouble for talking to anyone. Weird eh? I was hoping to get some closure either in a positive or a negative way, and now I don't know what to think! *shrugs* Ah well.
I have no real plans for Halloween, though I will probably drop in to see Dylan in her hula girl costume.
I may just end up watching horror movies with someone, or I may throw a costume together and go out. Given that I do not drink, so much of my incentive to go out is lost when I am not looking for a girl,... Read More
Hopefully I will soon be initiated into Olsen's international crime syndicate. *chuckle*
Now, Dylan was supposed to call me last night after nine, but she didn't. How am I supposed to take that? Well, my first thought is "Oh well, she probably just got called into work. I will talk to her later." My second - far more paranoid - thought is that she didn't... Read More
hey, the insecure paranoid fool gets the worm... at least, i think that's the saying. maybe it's "gets worms", i don't know. either way, it has something to do with parasites
the problem with not getting a phone call is that all of a sudden that big empty space in your schedule that was reserved for talking to her is now wide open and guess what? oh look... there are your fiendish thoughts just waiting to rush forward and fill the void. congratulations, instead of sitting around doing nothing you now get to sit around doing nothing and obsess over possible negative outcomes.
fortunately though, all that overthinking usually leads to outcomes like yours. smile.
At the moment I am waiting for Dylan to give me a call. It is not fun being on the other side (being called rather than calling) either. *sigh* Still, I can't see her not calling... although being the paranoiac that I am I can't stop thinking about it. *chuckle*
*deep breath*
Ah, the joys of dating eh? This would be a lot easier if... Read More

YES! I have a date on Saturday!! I rock!!! I am immortal!!!! I have inside me blood of kings!!!!! I have no rival!!!!!! No man can be my equal!!!!!!
Okay, that got a little out of hand (six question marks approaches "dangerously unbalanced"), but I do have a date with Dylan on Saturday. All is right with the world. And Highlander was a reasonably good... Read More
Hey, so your still a student - are you at UBC or somewhere else...Im glad to here that the date did go well for you. Yah, Im a student teacher, at an elementary school, i currently attend ubc, which I completly love. Glad you commented on my journal or I wouldn't have met yah.
awww, that sounds rough for you. So where are you taking the courses currently. What were you doing you major in or faculty. Did you get compasionat leave and stuff. Was UBC understanding?? THere is rules set up for illness and stuff so I could help.
I hate leaving messages. For some reason, answering machines always catch me unprepared: I virtually always have to hang up and call back (assuming I call back at all). *sigh* Still, I will probably leave Dylan a message later, unless by some slim chance I actually manage to get ahold of her. *chuckle* Is it sad that I have essentially composed a message ahead of... I went to fetishball blindfolded on year, with two guys, one whose ears we plugged, and one who we muted. Anyhow, the Deafened guy (Seth) had our keys, and I was off dancing with who knows who and Mutie (Luc) came up to me, really desperate. Somehow, with me unable to see him and him unable to speak, solely through the sounds Mmm mmm mm mmm MMM!, he was able to communicated that he had to pee (I should mention here that we were all dressed in duct tape, so this was going to be a difficult and personal process, requiring a return home), and we couldn't find deafie anywhere. We decided (probably I did since I could talk) to find a phone. Mutie would locate the phone and dial, and I would speak when necessary. The thing is, mutie somehow forgot that I was blindfolded, so I was walking full speed with the assumption that he was directing me, and I ran full-on into the corner of a wall--hit my face, right along the side of my nose. We continued to the phone, and he dialed, and we got voicemail, and left a message that sounded something like this "Seth? Seth we need -- mmm mmm mm MM -- what? mmm mmm mmm Luc, where are you? Luc???!!! mmmm MMMM MMMM WHAT? MMMMM MMMMMM!!!! I'm BLEEDING?" - click - .....I actually broke my nose that night when I ran into that corner. For a few months afterward, I could pop my nose as if it was a knuckle.
All the same, I think I'd choose blindess. I'm a composer, so deaf is bad (I'm not as talented as Beethoven, okay?!). I know people who have no sense of taste, it makes eating a really disgusting experience. And your sense of smell is the main tool of your memory. I am an extremely tactile person and that would make me cry to lose, plus it would make basic activities, like opening doors and typing really difficult. Lose your site, and you stop judging people from the outside. Plus I get to learn braille!
first and foremost...thanks for pulling me back to reality...my realistic approach just wasn't working...altho I was getting a lot more replies, which did make me feel special....
who am i kidding...popularity is overrated....
I have the same problem as you-trying not to appear "stalkerish" but simply being anxious...grrr...unfortunately, I cannot offer any advice, as I still suffer from this affliction.
I would lose my sense of smell....I could do w/o it.
Perhaps not the most interesting of stories, but sometimes this journal is more for me than for you. *chuckle*
So, yesterday I had just finished working out, and on an impluse decided to give Dylan a call. She asked "How are you?" two to three times in the space of minute. It was pretty cute. *chuckle* Anyway, once we got past the initial chat about... Read More
Well, managed one hundred percent on my math midterm, but that isn't too surprising since it is just a refresher course rather than something new. The guy I have been helping out only managed fifty-six percent, but that is partially because he failed to study what I told him would be on the test (I mean, it was pretty obvious). Maybe next time he will... Read More
