Wow, that "Bryn: Will Strip" was a nice set. You know, the boards and journals here probably occupy me far more than the pics do? Of course, every once and a while I come to my senses and admire for a while. *chuckle*

Anyway, two days until my date with Erika. I was thinking we would go to this little Korean place, but I should...

I have a date on Friday. It has definitely been a while since my last one. Is that because I have been busy, because I am lazy, or because I am scared of rejection? Who know, who cares, because I have a date! A date with a very interesting and entertaining woman. I know I am essentially talking to myself here, but it is not...

There are no rules. You should do what feels right. I've always thought the calling "rules" were complete BS. Itr always leaves the two interested parties hanging in the wind. Anyhoo, good luck with your date!
tronvillain:
Hey, I wasn't talking entirely to myself after all. Cool. Anyway, I think Friday is likely to go well, given our initial couple of encounters.

Ah, the mysterious working of fate. After a series of chance meetings and random decisions, I ended up spending the night with an amazing girl. Perhaps nothing will come of it, but she has an incredible appeal. Perhaps I am somewhat swayed by the fact that just after we met she asked me to pick out her outfit for the bar and then changed into...

I have been in an introspective mood lately, and have noticed that my life seems to have no driving purpose. Oh, there are things I want, but there is no one thing that really drives me forward. I love sex, and friendship, and books, and movies, and discussion, but those are simply diversions. I do not think "I will become a doctor", I...

Why is it that the women you have fantastic initial conversations with and also find attractive always turn out to already be in relationship? Well, I suppose it could be that they are in relationships because they are the sort of person who has good initial conversation, or it could be that being in a relationship makes them better at initial conversations. Probably one or...

tronvillain:
Ah, so you are a Leo. Granted, I have never found the stars to be an accurate guide to relationships, but it is still good to hear. Not planning to be in Vancouver next year are you? *chuckle*

I left poker early on Wednesday night (man was there a lot of bitching about that until I lost some of the money I had won before going) and saw The Matrix: Reloaded. It was a great flick with mind blowing action sequences (freeway!) but it had a few flaws: the tedium of the first part (though I did enjoy seeing life in Zion),...

It is difficult to do a handstand. It is even more difficult to do handstand push-ups. Okay, it would probably have been easier to do a handstand now if I had done one in the last five years or so, but trying to raise and lower youself while you do one is insane. Granted, I used to think that about wide-arm pull-ups and I...

I wonder if anyone else is ever stunned by the realization that they actually exist and that this is really happening and not just something they are watching. It is sort of like seeing yourself from the outside. Anyway, I occasionally mention this to people and most of them seem to have no idea what I am talking about.

pensquare:
Yar, it took a while for the Matrix to wear off.

I often wonder, when I'm conversing with someone, if they're actually saying "Leave me alone" or "You're scaring me" but I'm hearing "Tell me more" or "Do you want fries with that?" I don't mind if I'm insane/ethereal, just as long as I never find out.
shifgrethor:
Oh, I TOTALLY know what you're talking about.

I think it comes from having an overanalytical personality ... just having a heightened awareness of ones physical and conceptual self.

Interesting. Having never bothered to keep a physical journal I at somewhat of a loss as to what to write in this one. Well, I suppose simply typing whatever occurs to me will suffice. The expression "How do I know what I think until I see what I say?" comes to mind.

Anyway, dropped into the local tatto parlour yesterday to see if anything was...
