Wow, I don't even know what I'm going to do with myself. I have no idea!

Or maybe I do:

Hmm, travel, hang out, chill with my dog, my friends, sleep, play some music, listen to some music (even though that's basically what I do every second I am awake anyway).

It's going to rule.

biggrin

How are you?
byte:
"New Age Hippie Shit" couldn't frame it more accurately.

It's white privileged people in the dominant culture getting together and forgetting that the systems of securing their wealth and reifying their identities exploit and screw over those who aren't like them, the Other. Like the way that schools get funding: property taxes. What happens in a poor neighborhood? Fucked. Now THAT is a secret that not a lot of people realize, more worthy than whatever crap is coming down the pike that Oprah is putting her pumps in.

(I love my major, it's what teaches me all of this awesome stuff! Because for a long time, I knew there was something wrong with American culture, but being able to articulate it now makes all the difference) biggrin biggrin

Thanks for reading my shit!

actually, it's cool man, i can see where you came from with the galaga ship thing. the colored part, the eyes, ship w/thrusters. i totally did that at work the other day, this gold charm came out, and my boss was looking at it and i was like "Holy shit, that looks like something from star wars" and then he turned it around so i could see the front and it was a crucifix thing.

The album has been waiting for YOU.

ojaeflo:
Nice. I just cited Mr. Gilmour the other day. smile

That last 70 seconds or so of "Sheep" feature some of my all time favorite guitar riffs EVER.

it's always a bit hard to post a new journal when the last one still feels accurate and is loaded with so much YouTube goodness to boot... but i guess i should just say that the nerves aren't quite as frayed as they were last week. still frustrated with life and the job search in general, but i managed not to break anything, and i've...

Ta...dig the Land of Talk...maybe it's my upsidedown Australian ears, but her voice reminded me of Edie Brickell....Haven't seen Sun0))) but that may soon be remedied....

As UnnamedCarter was muttering while typing and giggling as only she can, I thought it best be time to say hello and give you an insight into my slice of life.

From what I've been told you already know of me...well sorta.

I think you mentioned that you were at the same bar as I just before the Mastodon show in September 2006 at the Metro...small world indeed. My experience in Chicago was just amazing and all thanks to my wonderful friend Andy who was nothing but charming.

I am apparently as much of a vinyl geek as your good self. That is said in the nicest possible way of course. I can't stop buying vinyl at the moment as I am having such a headrush with so much good music about.

I mentioned the bands touring through "her upstairs ^ ^ ^ ^ " however my wish list is as follows. Baroness, Planes Mistaken For Stars, The Sword just 3 bands who make me smile. Other bands who have touched me in that special way that may/may not be in your sights...Marillion, The Gathering, White Buffalo, Voivod, Boris, Deathless. Some are still together, some have split, all had made music to move me like nothing else.

Have a look through some of my pics and you can have a giggle of some of the bands I have met/played with over the years. This is just a small selction but a giggle is a giggle.

Take care and hope to chat soon.
