I don't know, but I do think both of those teams are going to struggle to win 4 games this year.

it"s hard to get motivated to get up and mow the lawn when you're laying on the couch with a good book and your cat sprawled out next to you.
iggy:
eh...the lawn will be there tomorrow....

Thanks for the b-day wishes!! kiss

thanks for the support, folks. were it not for the bungling fools that work for DHL, i'd have had my iPod back in my hands on Monday. as it is, i should see it tomorrow. or there'll be hell to pay, goddamnit!!! wink

I hear you about autumn, it is probably my favorite season. Although if we could just hover around 72deg for 10 months out of the year, I'd be a happy girl. (2 months required winter for ski season.) You won't be able to make it out to Bucca next week? I'll miss you.

Just wanted to say thank you for the heads-up, I'm listening to Deleted Scenes from the Transition Hospital right now and I'm loving the atmosphere on the record, it's wonderful and just what I was looking for, or rather I think this is what my obsession was looking for (no externalization of neuroses here, no sirree). Also, the Melanie Rhys link is awesome, I love urban photography, especially derelict hospitals. It's a peculiar niche, I know, but there's just a certain feel to them that you can't find elsewhere.

That's a really interesting fact with the Centralia populace as well, thanks. I always had their reluctance to move down as simple attachment to their land, or at the very least some kind of fear of change. Actually, I'm sure those are the real reasons but still, opportunism didn't enter my mind. I guess we all need to find that silver lining.

I hope your iPod's about sorted now, I know the pain of sorting out a music library all too well. Take it easy and thanks again.

wish me luck for the next few days, everyone. i have to send the ol' iPod in to Apple-Land to be worked on. i'm not sure how my train rides back and forth to work are going to be dealt with when i cannot insulate myself with music.

there's at least a 30% chance that i might totally freak out on some poor schmoe. i...

I am aware stupid people have been about for some time, I just cry when I see them out on pedestals just because they have nice tits.

Next time you have to ship DHL, or ship at all, give the shiat to me. I do huge volume with DHL so I get a killer deal and they treat us like kings. If you still have issues with it after it is supposed to show give me the tracking number and I can see if my rep can do anything to make sure it gets smoothed out.

I have read that book, it is amazingly good. Have you ever read any biographies of Thompson? If you know his history that book is amazingly autobiographical... from both characters points of view.

wow, this is the original video. nice to have since the fucks at the record company removed the other. severely truncated version of the song, though - you miss that whole lake of glistening guitar that spreads out in the middle... but still.

i'm sparking something by candlelight right now. and my guitar...

i think it will do me good to listen to some music im not acquainted with...

sometimes i need a new experience.

most of my favorite music still comes from the 70's and 80's though..
my mom totally overdosed me on mototown back in the day,
so i have a hard time listening to anything that came out of the fifties and really early sixties surreal

not settled enough for a decent new entry yet, but i figure i can at least update the video. wink

tuesday night i kind of out of the blue wound up at a screening for the Midwest Film Festival of this film called Street Thief. filmed in Chicago by a couple of Chicago brothers, it documents the life of a real-life thief - the kind...

Me? I didn't wanna see you anyway... even though you're the only one that i remember from the previous SGC stuff. I'm not sayin' I ever went to any of it, but your name was always on the list. I think I'll see what rev. ojay has to say about this.

ugh, where does the time go? the week's almost over and i'm still looking at a post about last weekend. surreal

i guess the weekdays have been rather blurry as of late - which isn't to say they're bad, but there hasn't been a whole lot of time for reflection. not that i've left much time for that this upcoming weekend, either, though.

looking forward to...
