ugh, where does the time go? the week's almost over and i'm still looking at a post about last weekend. 
i guess the weekdays have been rather blurry as of late - which isn't to say they're bad, but there hasn't been a whole lot of time for reflection. not that i've left much time for that this upcoming weekend, either, though.
looking forward to seeing the good people of SGChicago tomorrow night - and then Saturday the newly returned FritzKD and i are hitting Subterranean to see High on Fire and Don Caballero - that show is sure to be a packed, sweaty mess, and i can't wait.
then we'll see how Sunday feels - the Wicker Park Street Fest is happening, providing the chance to see both those bands again, along with others like Sybris and Russian Circles. we'll see how the hangovers are treating us and make the call.
been addicted to Jesu's Conqueror all over again as of late - gave my copy to an old friend that was in town recently, spreading the hazy daze it carries...
i am also almost unhealthily anticipating the new Yakuza album - it drops on Aug. 7th, with a show that Saturday at Subterranean. i know nerdboy2345 will be there with me - i'm encouraging anyone else that's up for an adventure into Chicago metal to join us.
there's not much of quality available on YouTube from their recent releases, but here's a video from a couple albums back...
anyway - i'm going to try to check in with some of you i haven't recently. we'll see how i do.
