good lord. i really did plan to get in a better update last weekend.

life is flying by right now, for real. between the new gig and the playoffs, i've barely had time to sleep lately. but the games are starting to thin out now, so a little more space is opening up. the Bulls made a nice little run into the postseason, but couldn't get past Detroit. i'm proud of the season they had, though. next year should be even better.

unfortunately, just as some elbow room is opening up, i'm going out of town. i leave this Sunday to spend three weeks in the Philadelphia area for training on the new job. i'm excited, but it's still a long stretch. the 'Bandit is coming out to visit for memorial day weekend, and i'm hoping to maybe hook up with some other SG cats while i'm out there. and i get the sense that there's going to be some really cool people i meet at the job, too.

i'm super excited right now - because this update is coming to you from our brand spanking new MacBook!! so i'll have it with me while i'm out there and can regale you all with tales of the pressing plant and the mastering studio and whatever else...

anyway... my journal entry is going to have to be short and sweet yet again - i need to make sure i get some shit done tonight and get some rest, as i got late word that Madlib is spinning with some other Stones Throw cats at Sonotheque tomorrow night!! anyone that feels like vibing to some great beats and doing a little ass shaking should come out...
