i've got so many of you to catch up with - i'm usually much better at staying in touch, and i apologize.

i've just been gripped by a terrible fatalistic dread over the last few days and haven't been able to shake the paralysis that it's left me in. it's all residual shit from the ongoing job hunt - i'm sure plenty of you understand the weird spaces that can throw you into.

i was able to shake it out of my head for some periods of time over the weekend though, with the help of these things...

- Friday night out very late with the SGChicago crew - it always does my heart and soul good to see you people.

- the NBA playoffs began this weekend! the excitement included a Bulls win, a ton of close games, and fantastic performances from these cats:

- and finally, a good thorough soaking in some old memory-jogging post-hardcore...


hope all of you found ways to soothe your souls this weekend. my week is beginning now with the same goddamn nervousness and dread, but i will try and shake it for a bit today to check in and see how you're all doing. and damn it, i hope to have happier things to talk about soon.
