so once the cobwebs are fully cleared, i always feel better. wild weekend.
SGChicago BBQ was a fantastic time, with great food and a lot of folks ready to drink and talk and laugh. including a handful of new kids - thanks for coming out to play, y'all! see, we really do know how to have a good time!

i have to give props to fight_evil for his mad tasty onion burger concoctions and his grillskills (and to thedvsmonkey for the action photo).

also, props to my main man nerdboy2345 for pulling FritzKD and i out of the Hall of Presidents just in time. shit, we nearly missed Yakuza's set!!

the Hey Buddy Bar seemed an unlikely venue for the Yakuza show, but word is that my drunk ass made it inside as their set was ramping up, and i promptly went and gave Bruce a hug while he was on the floor screaming into the mic, so i guess i felt right at home
the rest of the evening is a blur of chatting with him and others outside the front door of the bar, and getting knocked around in the pit while Cephalic Carnage played. the next morning my right foot was fucked up, i had a bruised knee and chin, i'd gotten hit in the mouth, and i had purple finger marks on my arm from some fellow madman that pulled me up from the floor when i went down at one point.
shit was old-school. then i bought a burrito on the way home and forgot to eat it before i passed out on the couch.
perhaps i should fear the weekends more than the tedium of the workweek. i ain't never learned.

Well played sir
Before last night I hadn't listened to it in forever either. It's one of those albums I don't listen to for a while, but then I go on a kick where I listen to nothinjg but it. Like 5 or 6 years ago, I wanted my crew to be the Mountain Brothers so fucking bad.
