i'm thinkin' of no one in my mind


the blankness continues and i am up way too late yet again

bulls fought hard and i am proud of them for that

i feel impending disaster on the horizon at work

red couch is a black hole for early evening dreams

the cat sings into the empty living room unafraid

empty car hurts my ears and shatters my knee

my subconscious frightens me of late

and still i wish i could climb into guitar tone and disintegrate

i saw the movie and i read the book
but when it happened to me
i sure was glad i had what it took
to get away
