so, my girl is in the hospital all weekend. she's got a gall stone lodged in her torso causing her incredible pain, and they can't seem to schedule the procedure to get rid of it until monday. so she's just staying bedridden, doped up on dilaudid. i was there all day yesterday, got home about 3 am. slept in this morning then back there again....

i hate when I have a day off and then someone calls from my job saying so and so didn't show up. then they want me to come in. I hate it a lot. When I said there was no a/c here... well... there is. But, only in the big companies and big shops and stuff. Supermarkets and big chain stores. There is no a/c where it is really needed on the buses and subways
I try and stay as far away from the subways as possible, especially in the summer. The carriages get so packed, it would be illegal to transport cattle like that due to EU safetly regulations.
But generally we are just really far behind the rest of the world in things like this. Maybe one day we will catch up!! *fingers crossed*

it is so f'n hot here today - my neighbor's pool looks oh so inviting. but i guess i'll have to settle for holing up in the a/c upstairs and reading. starting the new william gibson, i think... we'll see. hope everybody's weekend is rolling along nicely.
