The weather went from snow last week to mid seventies and shorts this week. So no spring this year I guess. When the weather is good most of my days are spent at the park across the street. It is the whole reason we bought this house. We have been going throught the winter but no other kids have so The Boys are very pleased...

We chose to scale down our life (my hubby and I ) when we started to have kids. He left a job that paid him 30 grand a year plus benefits and such...

Oh Trixee, we've done the exact same thing. And the thing that bugs me the most are how the other kids (whose parents are NEVER home with them) get all these THINGS and think it's because they're loved. My kids know that they may not always have the BEST of everything but they do always have the things they NEED. Just not always the things they WANT. It's hard to explain to them that 'Yeah, so and so has this that and the other and you don't but, you have parents here that care about you, buy the things you need and go without so you can have some of the things you want' They don't get it but, I know, in my heart that it's the right thing. When they get older, they'll understand but until then, just keep fighting the good fight to do what's best for you and your family. Only you know what's really and truly right for all of you.
