So , my friend the cardinal is back.. When I bought this house he kinda came with it and we have developed this relationship and he is beautiful and sings to me and comes right up to take food from me (that took 2 years lol) He had been missing the last two months and came back Saturday afternoon. He makes me feel like Snow White.

I had stepped out to have a smoke (before the temp dipped to minus 24) and was staring off as I do, and he came right up beside me! I flipped out , ran inside to tell the old man, got all wierd about it as I took it as a sign that the bad emo month (i have been having issues ) is over and things are gonna get better. I musta been going off about it because the old man brought me back down to earth when he told me "He probably came back because you threw out those leftover pancakes this morning in the yard right?" hmm


I went to the bike show locally that is huge with the fam, after the bird thing. I got the kiddies all dressed in their rocker black gear which was funny and we were off. It was fun, Des found a racing team for his age (yah right!) and there was a band playing in the back where the kids headed like drones to the hive. The singer I knew from her other band and she is hot and talented. PLUS a member of a local band from back in the day of punk , was there, and recognized me! We chatted, I couldn't believe that he had remembered me from my teen years..


I came home feeling spry and giddy. The old man kept giving me the eye at the show and whispered sweet things in my ear at one point. I would love to say that vanity is bad and my ego and self esteem are so skyhigh that it doesn't matter to me one bit if ppl find me cute. BUtT lets face it, I have been down and despite losing 50 lbs last year still have the last 15 to go to get back to prebaby weight (which is why I am trying out for rollerderby, I needz toning bitches) sometimes I feel good , sometimes I feel like a fat, frumpy soccer mom.
Thats when I found the thread in one of my groups all about ME!!! little old me, they say I am hot... I wanna say aww no but thanks but it toally made my day. It made me giddy with each post and wellll, thanks chickas and doods for making me feel swell!

So Saturday obviously rocked!! Sunday the temp dipped to mother-fucking-cold-stay-in-or-die kinda weather, we drove an hour to visit my mommma with the kids, and our heater broke! We had blankies and snow gear on as we kinda figured it would. We have the cake for the new ride but one hasn't come up in auction yet so we are driving this baby to the ground.

I got home just in time to see my girl (don't groan) AMy Winehouse perform at Grammy's... I seriously at one point, with tears in my eyes , stood up all stoned and yelled You Go GIrl (a la '91 reference) I love her voice, fan of her work plus identify with her alot for personal reasons hahah and was worried how she might do performing sober for the first time in ages. I don't think I coulda done it. Just for doing it and not half assing it I applaud her.

This is me , getting baked on Sunday...GOOOD TIMES
