ok so here it is. I have neglected SG a bit lately and miss my friends in chat and chat group as well as my friends blogs and groups but I am having quite a time lately just coping with my life with this house full of little ones as well as my social life and my volunteer work....so I guess I suck at SG hahah...I just don't have the 3 hours plus to sit in chat enough to be "one of the cool kids"..my life is too hectic...
I got a flyer form the school about a "family fun day" kids expo thing at the western fair a few blocks from here , I went last year with the kids and they liked it. So on Saturday it was kinda cold and rainy so I decided to bring them to it. When we got there I didn't see a ticket booth outside and thought maybe it was inside and so we proceeded in. We couldn't find it there either and Karl said "wicked , its free this year!!!" We had a great time, there was clowns and a one man band that Ozzyy loved. They rode little trains and climbed through giant blow up whales and such. It was very fun. Karl found a booth of cotton candy and popcorn so he asked the dood how much? He thought he said 3 so he pulled out a Loonie and a Toonie (hahah canadian coins) and the guy said no its FREE. We were stoked hahah, then there was a santa that I didn't recall so the kids sat on his lap and a great day was had by all...as we were leaving my boy Des noticed some kids were getting wrapped presents at the door. I sent Karl to check it out, he came back and said that we needed a ticket to get one. I felt bad that we didn't pay and quickly looked around again for the booth and then thought FUCK IT, why pay now when we are leaving??!??! thats just dumb so off we went. When we got home we were drinking tea in the kitchen recalling the kids faces at the rides and Evelyn getting her picture taken buy some event dude. I looked at the flyer ther school snet and noticed it said Nov 10 - 11...WHAT???? thats next weekend....
it turned out we crashed some corporate xmas party and never knew it.
free fun and no one asked us a thing, good thing too because we were unaware and honest sooo that woulda been embarrassing.
I then went out that night with the girls and we checked out the local roller derby girls and then had drinkies downtown, I can home at 3 AM drunk stoned and talking far too loud...but wealking straight, the kind of drunk BEFORE you puke but still hammered...
It was an awesome weekend and now I will check out my friends weekends..although I have tonnes to do , Karl just called and said he is working over time and now I have to find a way to watch my kids AND coach 14 four year olds soccer tonight and then get all the shit done for bedtime for my 3 alone....he is a fucker as I begged him to stay home today to help me as I am horribly sick with what I think might be mumps..he WILL pay
